How Context works

Discover how Context can help you contextualize your data automatically. Forget about logging annotations manually… forever!

1 Create your organizations

Organize your data and annotations sets in a meaningful way, combining the KPIs you want to analyze with the events that may potentially affect them.

Create meaningful data universes around your customers, digital properties, revenue streams, or any other criteria you wish.

2 Connect your GA views

Connect your GA account with just a few clicks and select the views with the data that you want to appear in your Context reports. You can add as many GA views as you want in each organization.

3 Connect your event sources

Decide what kind of annotations you want to see in each organization. By default, Google algorithm updates, public holidays, and manual annotations will be added as event sources in all your organizations.

You can connect others that are relevant to you, such as popular code repositories (GitHub, GitLab, BitBucket) or Context API easily so you can send these events to your organizations’ reports automatically.

4 Create your Context reports

Once you’ve connected your Context organizations with the metrics and event sources you want to analyze, you can begin to create as many Context reports as you want to make sense of the information and contextualize your data.

5 Analyze your data

Once you are done with your set up, you are ready to analyze your KPIs performance with all the context you need to properly interpret and analyze the data. Select the events you want to see in your report, choose your KPIs, and separate them with advanced GA segments that are also available in your report.
